This milestone event not only showcased her event management skills but also highlighted her ability to oversee large-scale operations. Managing the international conference and annual summit for the same company further solidified her reputation as a reliable and innovative leader in the industry. Her hard work and dedication did not go unnoticed, and in 2016, she was offered the position of Director of Events at Magellan Management. This company, primarily focused on non-profit and trade associations, provided Emily with a new set of challenges and opportunities. Over the next three years, she transformed Magellan Management into a full-service management and events company. Her role expanded beyond event management as she took on responsibilities in operations and business development, contributing significantly to the company’s strategic direction and growth.
Under Emily’s leadership, Magellan Management thrived. She implemented strategic goals that not only enhanced the company’s service offerings but also improved its overall market position. Her ability to drive change and deliver results earned her widespread recognition within the industry. In 2020, her achievements were formally acknowledged when she was promoted to vice president. That same year, she also completed her Certified Nonprofit Executive (CNE), Certified Development Executive (CDE), and Certified Nonprofit Consultant (CNC) credentials from the National Association of Nonprofit Organizations and Executives (NANOE).

On February 22, 2022, Emily took a bold step into entrepreneurship after a decade in corporate America. She founded From The Hart Management LLC, a company dedicated to multi-level association and business management with a strong focus on events, sales, and marketing.
From The Hart Management operates with a clear mission: analyze, identify, advise, and execute. Emily assembled an award-winning team of strategists, marketers, analysts, accountants, planners, and advocates to offer a wide range of services. The company provides comprehensive support in association management, business management, and event planning, ensuring that clients receive tailored and effective solutions. Her transition from corporate life to running her own company exemplifies her commitment to driving success and her passion for helping businesses thrive. Around the same time she founded From The Hart Management LLC, Emily Hartstone also launched Gifts from the Hart, LLC, a boutique gift shop, with her business partner Chaunsea Keller. Facing significant challenges in her life, Emily battled both leukemia and Graves’ disease. These health issues brought considerable physical and mental trauma, and multiple surgeries further impacted her well-being. Despite these hardships, Emily chose to turn her experiences into a source of inspiration for others facing similar struggles.
Driven by a desire to be a beacon of hope, Emily founded EmPOWERThePATIENTS Foundation. This organization aims to fund scientific research focused on addressing the root causes of chronic and rare diseases. Additionally, it seeks to create a comprehensive resource and support community for patients. Through this foundation, she hopes to improve the lives of those dealing with serious health conditions, providing them with the support and information they need. In recognition of her philanthropic efforts, Emily was honored as one of Connect Association’s 40 Under 40 in 2019.
